Hoping to take the art world by storm is ”˜Hush Delirium' the brand new art / music collaboration of abstract artist Simon Welford, Ex Ride frontman Mark Gardener and Ex Stone Roses guitarist Aziz Ibrahim.

The concept of the project is simple”¦ combining uniquesonic sounds with abstract art in a project not seen since the heady days of Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground.

I wanted to work on this project with musicians who are known for having a unique style or sound”Â explains Simon. I know Mark from my work with Ride and really wanted to work with him. I have respected Aziz ever since seeing him play live with Ian Brown and love his solo work with its amazing Asian infused feel”.

The music that Mark and Aziz have written is then passed through to Simon who then uses the music as inspiration in producing the associated artwork.

“Once we have the completed art and music together as a complete project the idea is then to hold exhibitions where people will come along and see the work projected on to the gallery walls whilst listening to the music that inspired the pieces. The possibilities are endless, from doing simultaneous exhibitions around the world at the same time to producing the work and music as downloads for people to listen to at home. It reallycan be whatever we want it to be. The pieces of music that have been produced so far are amazing and without giving too much away I think this project is going to be something special”.

Simon confirms that another established musician has agreed to be a part of the ”˜Hush Delirium' project and they are hoping to work together when the musician in questions promotional and touring commitments allow it.

Updates on the projects progress can be tracked on Twitter by following @HushDelirium and also through their FaceBook Page.
