Hoping to take the art world by storm isà”ËHush Delirium' the brand new art / music collaboration of abstract artist Simon Welford, Ex Ride frontman Mark Gardener and Ex Stone Roses guitarist Aziz Ibrahim.
The concept of the projectàis simple”¦ combiningàuniquesonic soundsàwith abstractàart inàa project not seen since the heady days ofàAndyàWarhol and the Velvet Underground.
“I wanted to work on this project with musicians who are known for having a unique style or sound”Âàexplains Simon.à“I know Mark from my work with Ride and really wanted to work with him. I have respected Aziz ever since seeing him play live with Ian Brown and love his solo work with its amazing Asian infused feel”Â.
The music that Mark and Aziz have written is then passed through to Simon who thenÃÂ uses the music as inspiration in producing the associated artwork.
“Once we have the completed art and music together as a complete project the idea is then to hold exhibitions where people will come along and see the work projected on to the gallery walls whilstàlistening to the music that inspired the pieces.àThe possibilities are endless, from doing simultaneous exhibitions around the world at the same time to producing the work and music as downloads for people to listen to at home.àIt reallycan be whatever we want it to be.àThe pieces of music that have been produced so far are amazing and without giving too much away I think this project is going to be something special”Â.
Simon confirms that another established musician has agreed to be a part of the ”ËHush Delirium' project and they are hoping to work together when the musician in questions promotional and touring commitments allow it.
