A Selection Of This Week’s Best Videos. 29th Sept.

Each week there’s a whole host of new videos released that we’d love to share with you but sadly time never permits.

However there’s no reason for us not to get to Saturday & put a few of them together into a randomly numbered list of our favourites.

Here’s this week’s list.

So what did we miss? There’s bound to be something. Let us know in the comments.
PARISO – Mother’s Talons

We reviewed Pariso’s brilliant, blistering, rifftastic, crushing opus “Nothing Beyond Everything After” earlier in the year, the bands debut long player. Since then they’ve been touring their faces off, I’ve seen them twice in Bristol since the albums release but they haven’t restricted themselves to the UK as they’ve also squeezed in a quick tour of Cuba. This week they released a 7″ – a refit of an old track plus two new ones. Intriguingly it comes exclusively in the form of a “postcard flexi disc vinyl”. You’ll want to visit Tangled Talk’s e-store to see what one of those look like (I’ll give you a clue, imagine a postcard…) or to snaffle a copy. Here’s the accompanying video. Rad.

Micachu Studio Tour

And another artist who’s released one of the best albums of the year. The extraordinarily talented & charming Micachu took the guys at Dazed Digital for a tour around her studios last week, aka a metal container in the Docklands.

Darren Hayman and the Long Parliament – Impossible Times

This is a track culled from ”˜The Violence’ a 20-song double album chronicling the 17th century Essex Witch Trials during the English Civil Wars when approximately 300 women were executed for witchcraft in the eastern counties of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk between 1644 & 1646. The album’s due to be released on Nov 5th.

Enter Shikari – Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here

This new video from Enter Shikari is a track off their album A Flash Flood Of Colour, released earlier in the year through Hopeless Records.

LV – “Ultando Lwaka” [ft. Ruffest]

A track from another of the year’s best albums, this time LV’s Sebenza. The track is the sultry closing track Uthando. Don’t forget we interviewed the guys a couple of weeks ago.

WHY? – Strawberries

Ryan Vail Sunlight

New video to help promote the EP Ryan Vail’s just released, one which pulls together an almighty slab of remixes from Unknown, Auntie Flo, Fort Romeau, and Brokenchord as well as an original track.

WHY? have a new album, Mumps, out on October 2 via Anticon. This is the second single off it, a fluttery, slightly bonkers & very catchy wee tune.

Mark Stewart – Stereotype ft. Factory Floor

Mark Stewart has a new album due out on Monday, The Politics Of Envy, via Future Noise Music. His new single, featuring Nik Void of Factory Floor & Carter, Tutti, Void fame is taken from the album.

Reptar – Houseboat Babies

Athens indie pop band Reptar released a video for the second single taken from their debut album ‘Body Faucet’ last week.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse: Walk Like A Giant

Neil Young has a new album out soon. Called Psychedelic Pills it contains a 16 minute track titled Walk Like A Giant which is the first studio recording of original music we’ve heard from Neil with Crazy Horse since 2004”²s Greendale. This video of the track is sadly massively cut, right down to a meagre 4:30. It still rules mind.

Trimbal – Confidence Boost (Harmonimix)

One of a couple of remixes James Blake did for London grime MC and former Roll Deep member Trimbal a couple of years ago. Harmonimix is back!

CITIZENS! – True Romance

The first single from a new band freshly signed to Kitsuné, Citizens! Infectious, infectious, infectious.

Converge – Shame in the Way 2012

It’s a new song by Converge. Properly rabid, properly ferocious, properly proper hardcore. Like some of the best hardcore tracks ever it clocks in at just shy of 2 mins.

Gramotones – A Soldier’s Kiss

Quintessentially British paisley pop band Gramotones are releasing a new single in October. This is the video of it. A Soldiers Kiss.

Gaslamp Killer – Boiler Room DJ Set

Drop into the phenomenal world of Adrian Younge for a little over an hour in this Boiler Room DJ set. Oh, and if you haven’t already got yourself a copy of Gaslamp Killer’s Breakthrough what’re you waiting for dudes?

GALLOPS – Yours Sincerely, Dr. Hardcore

Talking of waiting, we’ve been waiting a long time for the debut album from Gallops but finally the Welsh math rock band have announced that 10th December is the auspicious day on which it drops. To whet our appetites, this week they released a video trailer of the album.

Rolo Tomassi – Ex Luna Scientia

Rolo Tomassi this week unveiled their brand new video for ‘Ex Luna Scientia, a track taken from their forthcoming album, ‘Astraea’, which the band will release on the 5th November through Destination Moon Records.

Freddie Gibbs – “Kush Cloud” w/ Krayzie Bone & SpaceGhostPurrp

Freddie Gibbs released this archetypal weed rap track this week, lingering, slow and super chilled. Krayzie Bone and SGP give the track a serious sense of moment.

Crystal Castles – Plague (VIDEO)

Crystal Castles officially release Plague next week but this week they slipped out this video, one made by a fan who sent it into the band who liked it so much they made it the song’s official clip.
